Workshops and training
Our educational workshops are customised to meet the needs of the audience. We can cover a wide range of technical topics including lighting, sound, technical design or general backstage skills for any age or experience level.
Understand your gear
If you own (or are expected to use) sound or lighting equipment, one of our professional technicians can teach you industry best practices so you can work safely, with confidence and extract the most of your setup.

Venue
Where you run your workshop will depend on largely what content is being covered.
Some subject matter only requires access to a projector and whiteboard, while others require practical exercises to be effective, so lighting or sound equipment will be required.
If you are seeking tuition specifically on your own equipment, or have access to technical facilities (i.e at your school or rehearsal space), then that would be the best venue for our workshop.
If required, we can arrange access to a number of Nelson's professional performance venues including the Theatre Royal and Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.
