Our Vision
BUILD INDUSTRY
Our dream is to build our client base to support the growth and retention of a high-quality team of events professionals.
We imagine a diverse team with broad and complementary skill sets who love to work together. We believe Whakatū Nelson deserves a business that supports the retention of typically transient specialist skills.
PEER APPROVED
We want our services to be regarded as class-leading by our peers.
As a small region, we need to work hard to attract touring productions, so our goal is for these companies, crews or performing artists to have confidence and look forward to their visit at the venues or events we support - because we'll be there and, they trust we'll have their back.
GROWTH
Our Values
TEAM WELLBEING
The health and well-being of our team are our priority.
We recognise their efforts for our collective success and wish to provide security and support.
We strive to offer a fair pay rate and balanced hours with flexibility and autonomy whenever possible. We understand our team have personal lives that require flexibility on our part. We are committed to fostering healthy and safe working environments and a culture that puts people first.
RESPECT & INCLUSIVITY
We acknowledge the diversity of people's backgrounds and encourage inclusivity regardless of a person's age, ability, cultural or gender identity, sexual orientation or other external factors.
We recognise Tangata Whenua and respect the importance of Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori, alongside our obligation to positively contribute towards a culturally unified Aotearoa.
RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION
Can one truly exist without the other?
We believe that good communication not only resolves conflict or confusion but can ignite new ideas and opportunities for growth.
We value the relationships we have built within our team and with clients, providers and peers - and are committed to maintaining, if not improving, these relationships with good old-fashioned communication.
